REVENUE PROJECTIONS

Based on previous precedent for "like releases" of films in the same general genre, we are basing our return for the first two years of Beyond the Law of Attraction to 5 percent of the adjusted gross revenue of The Secret.  That is an extremely fair and conservative assumption, and all figures will reflect that assumption. (That's 2.5% per year)

As of April 18, 2008 THE SECRET has netted $279,836,430 for its producers.

We believe that in the initial 24 months of release Beyond the Law of Attraction will NET the following revenue:

DVD / Blu-ray (or the prevailing home media hardware at the time of release):

  • $12,000,000 based upon 1.5 million units sold at $8 per unit (MSRP $24.99)
  • $1,350,000 based upon a projected 270,000 downloads at $5 per pay-per-view.
Additional revenues can be had as the result of foreign theatrical sales, and additional foreign home entertainment media sales.  It would be premature to speculate on those types of sales until the initial release figures are posted.  The amounts negotiated for these kinds of sales are usually derived from how well received the picture is in its initial release, and how the subject matter transfers on a cultural basis.

Based upon the figures above, the following assumptions can be made for the contributing partners:

On a contribution of $1,500 the return over two years would approximate:  $6,750

On a contribution of $3,000 the return over two years would approximate:   $13,500

On a contribution of $5,000 the return over two years would approximate:   $23,625

One important point to consider is that the figures represent just two years of revenue, based upon 5% of what The Secret earned in combined revenues over a two-year period. What if our film does better than this very conservative projection?

Now let's meet the production team!
